Respect Yourself: New Wellness Habits
You can make this your healthiest year by committing to make smarter choices at work. Here are five simple choices you can make to respect yourself at work.
🕕 Block out your time for lunch. You know yourself, and yourself often does not eat food or drink water at the appropriate interval. We have talked about this before, and yet. Also, please call mom.
📽️ Turn off Zoom video when you’ve had enough. Everybody agrees it’s a little more draining to be on video, although nobody seems to knows why. It doesn’t matter. Around 3:30, just be done.
🙅♂️ Don’t book meetings after 4:30, or 5, or whatever feels like a good time to have your last meeting. Doesn’t mean you have to be done for the day, if working late is your thing. Just be done with meetings for the day.
🧘 Block out some time for your wellness-at-work habits like meditation, coaching, or an afternoon walk. Keep this time sacred, as though it’s just as essential to your productivity as… your next meeting!
🏡 Respect your work self by respecting your time at home. Think about whether you can start 2023 without work email and Slack on your phone OR could you turn notifications for your work accounts on your phone? OR you turn off email push?
Commit to taking even a single one of these steps this year, and this could be your healthiest year at work yet.
